JM Sports and fitness was founded by personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach James Moore in 2011. James believes it takes a combination of knowledge and experience to make an effective trainer and currently has 12 years’ experience in the fitness and sports industry working with a range of people including everyday people, elite athletes and children.

James also holds an array of fitness and coaching qualifications including, a MSc strength and conditioning, a advanced diploma in personal training, a advanced diploma in nutrition as well as football qualifications UEFA B football coach/diploma in football and FA level 3 physical performance coach.

Along side James’ personal training he also teaches at one of the biggest sports colleges in the country and he is a strength and conditioning coach at Notts County FC working within the fitness and sports medicine team.

James is also accredited by REPS, FACA, SPARQ and is a member of UKSCA and BASES. Recently James has completed DTLLS and is teaching young adults and future gym instructors on the BTEC sport and CYQ level 2 gym instructing courses.  James believes that ‘specificity’ is a key factor when aiming to achieve your goal.

James understands though everyone is equal by nature, not everybody can be trained the same way, this means using specific exercises and training methods to cater for that person or that persons sport.  James specialises in functional movement training, sport specific conditioning, physique transformation and weight loss.

Hi my names is Paul whitehead before I trained with James my weight was very poor I was roughly 26 stone, in the space of 2 months I have gone down to 21 stone and 6 pounds, as well as lowering my % body fat, improving muscle tone and general fitness. Some of the exercises I have done with James have been specific to fat burning such as functional exercises, TRX, own body resistance exercises and pyramid weight routines and high intensity interval training. JM Sports and Fitness provided the pre-season fitness training for Solihull Ladies Football Club this year and the results have been fantastic! Every session has challenged the ladies but has also been fun and football specific; this has really helped the players to stay motivated as they could see how it would have a positive effect on our season. As well as taking part in a wide range of drills every player was given activities to complete in their own time further helping to improve fitness. We will definitely be using this service again, from this we won the west midland regional league and now will compete in the midland combination league.
